In pluralis to be presice. In singularis you Swedes say "du".

And if I remember correct the number 9 is "nio" in Swedish.

However Stafan, I think the Danish will read "ni" as "9"...

Inspired by Don Rosa's 2002-strike?

Anyway AFAIK there was also Italian strikes or protests against Disney last
year - perhaps he has joined those actions?

From what I can see from the rest of your posting you are coming from a
English-speaking country, right? This means that you probably haven't got a
clue about the close relation between the Scandinavian languages and thus
the reason why I as a Norwegian are interested in Disney Character's names
in my neighbouring languages. So I can only say - YES to me it really did
mattered that the Swedish names was missing in that list in that book from
1976.

Off course! I guess taht everyone here are happy to see more Disney comics
in English.

Well at least, in an international forum like this, you'll have to accept
that people from other countries may have another focus on things than you
have.

I think this is the case in Norway too.

When I buy my Duck comics, the guy in the store seems to think it's quite natural. But last week when I bought W.I.T.C.H. and Spider-Man he said "I bet someone at home are waiting for these." I wish I'd had the guts to tell him "No, they're for me."

I once bought sports trousers which had a woman's size label. The woman
at the counter said: "If it won't fit your girlfriend you can return it
and will get a refund!" I wish I had the nerve to answer: "Thanks. I
already tried it on - and it fits perfectly."

And recently I was in the video store and rented "Collateral Damage" and
"Elmo in Slumberland". Both for myself. I watched Elmo first. It was
better :-)

I'm sorry I don't know about 634 and 319 but I can tell you about the following issues.

Rosa cover
"Return of the Three Caballeros" by Don Rosa (pt1 of 3)
"Hound of the Moaning Hills" Barks story drawn by Daan Jippes.

US 320

William Van Horn cover
"Fools of the Trade" by Van Horn
Other issue contents:

Gearloose story by Barks
Scrooge story by Carl Fallberg and Romano Scarpa
and others by Geoffrey Blum and Daniel Branca.

Hope that helps-Dan

I think i read about it a few years ago (before Don's strike) somewhere in
this list. But maybe my memory's a bit hazy. Well, i'd be glad if he still
draws duck stories. Sorry for the confusions.

I've never heard Marco Rota should have stopped making Disney comics.
Just to be sure, though, I asked the Egmont people about this earlier
today and was told Marco is currently hard at work drawing Disney
stories and has been for a long time.

So no, he's not gone on any kind of strike.

I've seen two in D95139 ("The Exotic Prize"): The one you wrote about
("NIMARCORAI AIROTAMOR") and the name of the newspaper Donald holds on the
same first page is "Roocramta" (upside down).

This does not explain why you're STILL carrying on about it, a
quarter-century later, for a period of WEEKS, in ways that annoy practically
everyone who has commented on the subject.

I got over that years ago, and make a POINT of seeing that salespersons and
suchlike know that any comic books I buy are for my own reading pleasure. As
I've said many times, the comic book doesn't make me look bad. I make the
comic book look good. If more people did that, maybe we could get past the
incorrect notion that comics are just for children.

Yesterday we got the color proofs in from the printer on US #319 and
WDCS #634, and they are very nice. Unfortunately for those wanting to
know the contents, I have a pathetic memory for titles - always have -
and know the contents mainly by what it took to nurture them to the
point of being published.

That said, I know that WDCS #634 contains a Mickey story drawn by Noel
Van Horn that features a robotic Phantom Blot, that either US or WDCS
contains Barks' Scrooge story with the first appearance of the Beagle
Boys, that WDCS #634 kicks off with a William Van Horn story featuring
Donald as a noir-ish detective, plus stories in one or the other,
originating overseas (from where I sit), about Gyro pining for a pet,
Donald entering a TV-based soapbox derby competition, and other items.

In a short while I'll be at the office and can get my hands on a formal
list of contents, but where's the fun in that? The days actual work
will be taken up with checking that pages are in proper position and
page order, cover elements are where they should be (at the moment
they're not on US), that ad pages are where they should be (two are not
at last check - we make many, many checks), color registration is good,
no lettering has dropped out, and so much more. It is a maximum time of
anxiety and paranoia for us, since this is it - after this, it goes on
press. All after an effort that began back in November.

We'll see how it goes.
