newsflash:

The readers of the danish comics website 'Seriejournalen' has recently
chosen Lars Jensen as best danish comic writer 2007.
Among the twelwe nominees were at least three additional Disney writers:
Freddy Milton, Henrik Rehr and Henning Kure.

Even though story is S-coded, and script is created in Disney-studios, it's
drawn by South-American artist Carlos Edgard Herrero. Therefore my guess is
that the human character is not someone in D-studios. Someone perhaps from
Brasilian Abril? Even the artist himself? Just guessing.

Hello everyone !

1/ Donaldism
The ad for the Walt Disney Treasurres-- Disney Comics book starts with a quotation of "Donaldism" by Jon Gisle.
A search for his name turns out results in Norwegian only, plus a family tree featured on Gilles' site.
Could someone please tell me a few things on Mr Gisle and this definitionquotation (where does it come from?)?

2/ "The Prisoner of the Klondike"
When is the story scheduled for publication in US, please?

Hello!

Jon Gisle is a Norwegian donaldist who wrote the book ?Donaldisten? (The
donaldist) around 1972/73.

Through this book he introduced the terms donaldist and donaldism in Norway
and maybe internationally. I have read the book many years ago, but I can?t
recall much of the content.

I am sure some other list members can say a lot more about this.

Regards

Halsten

I've been indexing some Australian issues on the Inducks site recently and they
haven't come up on the recently indexed list, is there a backlog or am I doing
something wrong?

You're not doing things wrong, it's just that we Inducksers are slow!
(Your indexes are manually checked and entered in the Inducks database.)

Hi Everyone!

Is there any news on stories which Don Rosa might be working on for this year or next?

And how many new ones might he publish?

I still believe Mr. Rosa is the new Carl Barks, followed by William Van Horn, and wish they could publish more stories more often!

Thanks, Halsten!
Interesting; it's a pity I can't read Norwegian.

It would be very nice if Gemstone published the story in UNCLE SCROOGE. And
soon! I?ve found the printing (color vibrancy and registration and paper
quality) in the TPB rather uninspiring. The story deserves its own release,
to go along with the other L&T first-edition collectible issues.

I don't want to speak for Mr. Rosa and he may respond to your question, but
as of last September when I last saw him, he is not currently working on new
stories.
I hope that will change because I know he still has some great stories in his
head.
But I respect and understand his wish to retire.

Unless I?ve been misinformed Gemstone is raising rates again to $8 starting
with US issue #367! Alas, apparently they are closely linked to the
petroleum market?
