I am visiting friends in Palm Springs, and vaguely remember an early Mickey story where he (and Goofy) is in Palm Springs (Wild West setting). Am I remembering correctly, and which story is it?

You may be thinking of "Race for Riches" (1935), which partly takes place in a Wild West town called Squeaky Springs, and features Horace rather than Goofy in the major sidekick role (Goofy only appears briefly in the story).

I have Part 3 of that story in Mickey Mouse #239 but I don't have the first two parts.
