Do you buy any (English) Disney comics while there are no new ones from Gemstone?

I fill the gaps of my collection by buying older comic books. My latest purchase:
* Walt Disney's Christmas Parade 1 &2 from Gladstone (1988/89)
* Uncle Scrooge Goes to Disneyland (1985)

It funny to see the poor printing quality of the Uncle Scrooge Goes to Disneyland book. That really improved in the last 25 years.

My last purchase was US #383.
After that I purchased what amounts to a strictly reading copy of Rosa's The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck.

My latest purchases were Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #698 and Uncle Scrooge #383. I received them both on the same day.

I haven't bought any in a while, though I did get a marvelous deal on a Ludwig Von Drake kiddie book on eBay. :)

Although I don't buy ALL the Dutch weeklies anymore, I always buy the issue with the most recent printing of a Daan Jippes story (as well as new Dutch printings of stories by Freddy Milton, Ben Verhagen, Jan Gulbransson, Daniel Branca and the better stories by Mau Heymans, and anything by Henrieke Goorhuis, and any of my own stories. The most recent was a first Dutch printing of a Daan Jippes story from a few months ago. I also have gotten a few of Freddy Milton's recent printings of Gnuff albums and his interactive albums (reader chooses the ending) and his Mouse family stories (all Danish printings)-unfortunately, Gnuff and his goose-detective series are no longer printed in The Netherlands.

I've used Gemstone's ceasing of publication as an excuse to stop trekking to the local comic shop altogether. I now just buy the odd Showcase, Essential, or HC book from Amazon. Strangely, I haven't missed it. 20 years of weekly traditions come to an end.

Dutch "Dubbelalbum 12", the only one of that series I was missing. I had first bought it when it was out in 1986, but misplaced it. That series has a Gottfredson Mickey Mouse long story in each issue (except one).
