I have already pre-ordered this one on Amazon, I really hope it doesn't get cancelled! I would be devastated!

Well, yes, sort of. The book was published four years ago, but around here it's the first volume of the "Hall of Fame" series (also published in Germany and Poland) and not as an independent "Don Rosa Library".

The Hall of Fame series depicts a lot of different Disney artists and is up to about vol. 25 I think...

This information is of course just based on what's on Amazon about the contents. It may be incorrect, but if Amazon do know what they talk about (for a change) this is roughly what the contents will be as I understand it:

There was of course two volumes of a "Don Rosa library" published in English in Norway some years ago, but they didn't contain any Disney comics at all.

By the way, David, how does Gemstone plan to deal with "The Life & Times of Scrooge McDuck"?

a/ Reprint them in the Rosa Archives in chronological order
b/ Reprint them all together (the original twelve and the additional stories) in a hardcover book
c/ Both (a) & (b)

I'm *so* glad to hear this one is still on the schedule! I'm a huge Rosa fan and can't wait to have this one in my collection. It's been pre-ordered since I first found it on Amazon months ago :)
Kudos to Gemstone for making this move. I'm so jealous of our European cousins and all the cool duck stories they've gotten to see. Here in the USA the ducks don't get their due. Thanks Gemstone!
P.S. I'd like to echo the question about the Barks Collection--any updates? Can't wait for that one as well :)
P.P.S. I second the motion for the hardcover "Life & Times" collection--I'd buy that in a heartbeat! :D

Where exactly did you get this information? Maybe you get different info from Amazon-Italy. I had pre-ordered this a long time ago and the latest update that I got via email last week from Amazon is: "Estimated arrival date: 01/20/2009 - 01/26/2009" and on the product website it lists no date of release, only: "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available."
