Topic: So, what is Pipwolf?

I'm sure it goes into more detail in the X-Mickey comics, but what exactly is Pipwolf (translates into Goofwolf)? He's obviously Goofy's lookalike, but is he supposed to be a werewolf version despite not having pointed ears? I personally think he more closely resembles a vampire, which I think would be a lot cooler, actually.

I was always under the impression that the X-Mickey Pipwolf stories had some sort of continuity to them. For those in the know, is that true? I'm kind of curious on the origins of "The Goofwolf" myself.
We've already had "Count Goofula" in continuity and Goofy's family tree is so purposefully crazy (even in Gottfredson's world) that it wouldn't shock me if he had Goofy versions of Frankenberry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Fruity Yummy Mummy somewhere down the line.
I suppose that in some bizarre way, that must make Goofwolf the Fruit Brute. :)

I'm only aware of one Count Goofula story. Was there another?

Hmm. There was "Tomb of Goofula," in 1991?really just a parody:

And then more recently there was Rune Meikle's "By Twilight's Bite," a full-length story that I'd certainly call in continuity, insofar as it certainly didn't contradict any Gottfredson, Scarpa, or even Fallberg stories that I'm aware of:

In its Yank edition, "Twilight's Bite" had superlative American dialogue from one Jonathan "WB" Gray, but he's been too modest to point this out. His time seems to be better spent suggesting that Goofy is distantly related to cereal box mascots. To my own great fear and concern, I suspect he's right about this.

"Goof Chocula"! Hey, I'd buy it. ;)

The Goofy Adventures # 17 looks really good. But hard to get in Germany. I don't see it at eBay Germany or somewhere else :(

Thank you, Olivier!
I will have a look at both shops to find more comics I order to reduce the shipping costs per item.

Pipwolf is a Werewolf. It's a kind of Goofy from another parallell universe (monster universe) i.e. not actually related.

I keep wondering, why is it Pipwolf doesn't have pointed ears if he's supposed to be a werewolf?
Steamboat Willie
Not all Werewolfs have pointed ears... Especially if they're long and floppy.

I haven't been able to see enough of the X Mickey comics to know for sure, but I am also pretty positive that a normal version of Goofy never appears in this particular series (the whole thing is supposed to be a parallel universe anyway) unless I'm mistaken. And doesn't Pipwolf have a ton of his own family in a specific area in their own town?
