They even have a translation of all the differing words from Plattdütsch to Hochdeutsch. Ehapa's Mundart series also published Barks books in Schwäbisch and Hessisch! I think they will only publish one book in each German dialect. I assume that your family would rather have the Schwäbisch book, living down south as they do. I'm still waiting for a Bayerisch book. That should be very funny!!!

I doubt that there will be many more Dutch dialect printings. They can only print stories that someone is willing to translate for free or very low pay. And that person has to know how to write in his/her dialect. I think it should be easy to find someone to translate Barks stories into Fries. I'm waiting hopefully for THAT one!
Speaking of Fries (your family members can understand Noordfries), -then you will be able to understand my signiture saying: ("Hou nou , bruin kou!").

I don't think I care to have albums in all those southern dialects, however. My German is poor enough, and I don't need to be confusing dialect spellings with my standard words.

Thanks, Mexican Fan. But, after checking COA, I see that NONE of my 96 stories/gags/covers have been printed in Mexico. Spain and Columbia have only printed 2 each. Interestingly enough. Brasil has printed almost all of them (84). I might ask Fernando Ventura to look for some for me. I did see that there have been a few of my stories also printed in Russia, Poland and Egypt, of which I have none. I might also ask Maciek in Poland to look for one.

You should be aware, Robb, that Inducks is *very* incomplete for a lot of countries, including Mexico; so it should not be taken as an indication of the actual prints of your stories.
Fairly "complete" countries are: western/north Europe + Poland + USA + Brazil. That's all, I think.

Well, at least the Mexican books contain Danish stories (D code). So they MAY have a few of mine. But, most likely most of my Danish stories would have been printed between 1990 and 2001. I wonder if they print any Dutch stories (H code)?
