Topic: The Treasures Trades & A Hall of Fame Trade Series?

So lets see...
The first Treasures trade was "Comics and Stories" based, the second one was Scrooge based, the third one will be the first proper and complete printing ever done of Mickey Mouse in Death Valley, and the fourth one will focus on Donald Duck. That will have effectively covered "the big four" of Disney right there outside of Goofy (can you really do a trade focusing on Goofy? LOL)
What would you like to see as Treasures trade ideas for anything beyond Donald Duck?
I would like them to keep away from doing creator-centric books if they could help it. We get enough Barks and Rosa monthly and even Gottfredson has a library coming out so I think those would be suited more for a WALT DISNEY TREASURES: HALL OF FAME type thing which I think Gemstone should really think about as far as a second trade series goes - Barks, Rosa, Scarpa, Cavazzano, Van Horn, Strobl, etc.
But as far as the actual main line itself, since we're about a third of the way in, I have always gleaned the general Treasures books as "special stuff" that really fulfills a nice niche: that being companions to the Disney Treasures DVD's put out. I think its a brilliant idea that Gemstone has done and it should really continue. Personally - an idea I had for a fifth one should the books last that long would be an overseas edition. Specifically - "The Disney Comics of Italy" would be an amazing idea for a treasures book. I would love to see a Treasures book with he likes of Romano Scarpa, Giorgio Cavazzano, Lara Molinari, Casty, Bruno Sarda, and I'm sure there's someone else I'm forgetting if they could even fit. You could have a wide gamut of characters in it and honestly, stuff like that is what the Treasures series was made for.
What do you guys think? If the Treasures series continues, what specific things would you like to see? Also, should Gemstone try their hands at mimicking the Egmont style HALL OF FAME creator specific trades?

Sure, why not? I can think of enough great Goofy stories to fill several volumes.

Well, there's Gottfredson and Walsh's "Mr. X" story. That's probably the most Goofy-centric Mickey serial out there and its pretty darn good to boot. You can't have a Goofy compendium without Super Goof - "The Cold Ray" is probably the most famous one of that era, that would handle Paul Murry's Goofy. And there's got to be plenty of short stories from Egmont and Dell and even one or two with Gilbert in it. You gotta have Dippy Dawg in there somewhere. And heck....this is probably blasphemy but I can think of at least one or two Goof Troop stories that are good enough to see print again for something like that.
I guess it's not such a bad idea at all in retrospect after all.
Dangit Lars, now you have me looking forward to a Goofy treasure. I say we pester David about it! :)

I think The Hall of Fame Trade Series would be a good idea. I also think they should do a trade series featuring the best stories of certain decades. The first volume has stories from the 30's, The second volume has stories from the 40's, The third volume has stories from the 50's, The fourth volume has stories from the 60's, The fifth volume has stories from the 70's, The sixth volume has stories from the 80's, The seventh volume has stories from the 90's, and The Eighth volume has stories from the 2000's Of Course if they do make it I don't except it to be released until after 2009.
