US #380 and C&S 695 will be availabe in US comic shops on 8 Oct 08.
In "Invasion From the Past," by fan favorites Gorm Transgaard and Vicar, Scrooge rebuilds his money bin as a medieval fortress... just in time for an authentic medieval Beagle Boy attack! Gyro Gearloose suffers through Carl Barks'' "August Accident" when he invents a smoke-powered rocket ship; then Scrooge must protect Freddy Milton''s "Insulted Sultan" from his scheming grand vizier. Finally Scrooge, Brigitta MacBridge, and Jubal Pomp enjoy a high society fling in the feature-length "Industrial Magnetism," by Italian duck maestros Romano Scarpa and Giorgio Cavazzano! An all-new Don Rosa pin-up rounds out the issue.

Er, forgive me Louis?but that's the "pre-issue swap" contents you're describing there.
You can read about the issue swap here: http://tinyurl.com/3ml9yy
Here's a preview of the real UNCLE SCROOGE 380 (formerly US 382):
Scrooge and Flintheart Glomgold find a sun-baked atoll dripping with gold... perched right on the International Date Line in Don Rosa's classic "Island at the Edge of Time!" Then "The Legendary Crown of Queen Kazabra," a magically jinxed royal relic, proves nearly lethal to Scrooge when it enchants Daisy Duck! Piet Zeeman's "Treasure of Alexander the Great" sends Scrooge and Donald back in time to fight on opposing sides of an ancient war. And then Kari Korhonen delivers "A Game of One-Cupmanship"... the final lunchtime showdown between Scrooge and Carl Barks' long-suffering diner chef! An all-new Don Rosa pin-up wraps the book.
And WALT DISNEY'S COMICS 695 (once WDC 697):
Dead ducks tell no tales... or do they? Hallo-weenie Donald meets a gorgeous girl vampire in "Trick or Treatment," by Terry LaBan and Paco Rodriguez ? and discovers that the afterlife is still pretty lively! Brer Rabbit joins the Hallow's Eve partying when he "Visits the Witch" in a Tom McKimson classic; then Huey, Dewey, and Louie costume-up in Carl Barks' "Going Buggy!" Finally, when Mickey, Horace, and Atomo Bleep-Bleep unearth a leather pouch thousands of years old, it leads them to Romano Scarpa's "Sacred Spring of Seasons Past," where a treasure may lie guarded by a treacherous ghost!

Wow, that's an absolutely gorgeous cover to the "Guardians" issue #383, ramapith! Have not seen that Rosa art before. Is it something that he had done for Egmont awhile back? I love to see new covers to "back-stories," bravo!! As opposed to the "Phantom/Notre Duck" issue that just basically duplicated the original GG cover.

That was a good summary Ramapith. Too Bad I won't be getting any of those issues because my subscriptions expired and I can't afford to renew them until after Christmas. I wish you could lower your subscription prices at least.

It's a PICSOU poster Don did for Hachette awhile ago. We removed parts of the art to make a cover out of it, but you'll find the complete version of the poster inside the issue when it eventually comes out.
