Hello!
I need to know what was Super Snooper's name in Dutch translation. (The superhero character in HDL's comic book).
Anyone?

Super Snooper is called Supersnater in Dutch. (In Rosa's stories, at least.) "Snateren" is the sound ducks make when agitated.

I didn't know that. In English they say Quack when they're agitated. Mostly Donald does it. Scrooge and the nephews have done it occaisionally.

I was talking about real ducks here. "Snateren" is a verb, not something Donald would say. (That would be "Wak!") It's what angry ducks do at the pond.

I never did get where that "WAK" noise came from. I know its a variation on quack - but I suppose its the closest print sound effect you can get to Donald making his unintelligible screeches like in the cartoons. (though it would probably have more effect if it were many WAK's in succession) :)

Maybe so WB but Donald's language has to be comprehensible in the Comic Book. Otherwise there would be no comic book.

"Wak" sounds more like the noise a duck makes than "quack" does, in my opinion. Plus it reads better as an exclamation. :)
