Did Rosa do a sequel to "Donald Duck's Atom Bomb"?

I wouldn't exactly call it a sequel; he uses the character, but the story is not a direct follow-up of "Atom Bomb".

Question: The Don Rosa text pieces you run, are they new? Does he do those up for you specifically or are they pieces that he wrote previously?

Also, how much communication do you have with Rosa? How regular, I mean. The reason I ask is that last year I happened to be able to briefly speak with Rosa at the Atlanta Dragon*Con comics convention. Not for very long, basically just long enough to get a few books signed and to talk a bit about how I was brand new to Disney comics. (When I told him that I'd only started with Gemstone's recent stuff he said something like, "Well, then, you've missed all the best stuff!") :)

I asked him what of his might be coming out in the near future and he misunderstood me. He said that there was nothing else coming out, that he was finished (retired, I presume). It took me a minute but I think I got him to realize that I mean what stuff would Gemstone be reprinting next (after all, as I'm new to this, all of it is "new" to me). But that was around the point that we were finishing up.

Anyway, he didn't seem to know a whole lot about what Gemstone's plans were in regards to his stuff being reprinted. (One of the books I had signed, in addition to the two Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck trades was the first Barks/Rosa special. He took the opportunity to browse through it as he said that he hadn't seen that one yet.) So, again, I was just wondering how much back-and-forth there is these days between Gemstone and Mr. Rosa.

It's a mixture, really. He has written new texts for some of our books (the Barks/Rosa Collections, some issues of UNCLE SCROOGE), and in others we've picked up texts that Don originally wrote for various European collections.Quote:I was just wondering how much back-and-forth there is these days between Gemstone and Mr. Rosa.
Oh, we're fairly often in touch with Don. Sometimes, as his comment on the Barks/Rosa Collection Vol 1 suggests, we've been slow at getting him his complimentary copies of certain books??usually because we haven't gotten author's copies in at the office yet. But the mail must (and eventually does!) go through.

There have been rumours along these lines, but I think this is the first time ever I actually see Rosa himself commenting on and confirming his alleged retirement as a comic artist.
Actually, I haven't seen any rumours about this anywhere -- only speculation. Until now, when Don apparently has confirmed it.

Great issue. These Barks/ Rosa collections are terrific.
