Gang,
If this is not an appropriate post, I'll understand that it is deleted!
Sorry to make my first post a question. I cannot find the "hidden" D.U.C.K. inscription on Don Rosa's cover to Uncle Scrooge #350. I found it on the back cover, but the front is a little funny. Perhaps it was removed during editing or coloring. Does anybody know where it is? The Hidden D.U.C.K. site is down (http://www.duckburg.dk/ducks). This is the exact issue (http://coa.inducks.org/issue.php?c=us/US%20%20350).
I've even put my wife to work trying to find it! :D

Welcome here!
I hope noone would dream of deleting your relevant question!

It isn't there - the cover was made before Don started putting dedications on his covers.
www.duckburg.dk is indead down - and www.duckhunt.de is only a shadow of it's former self.
Me and a bunch of friends from different countries in northern europe and the states made and maintained these page in the end of the 90'es and beffinning of 2000's - but we sort of left the Rosa-pages to fans like Sigvald, Arne, Jano and others.

But www.duckburg.dk is possible to find in part via this page: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.duckburg.dk
And on this exact page is the old page about that cover.
http://web.archive.org/web/20040626162624/www.duckburg.dk/ducks/?code=D_11973

(the cover is gone but is wieved here: http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=D+11973 )

Note that the archive doesn't save all pages in depth every time - but it's possible to find many closed down pages via that page.
If you any other questions on DUCK-dedications or such, don't hesitate to ask!

Then I completely wasted 45 minutes of my life last night. :D

Wow, I thought he'd been doing them since he started, but that maybe when they were "digitizing" the colors on this issue, it was taken out by accident. Oh well!

Thanks for the tips, AC. I should have checked out the internet archive pages, but I always forget about smart stuff like that. :D

Thanks again, pal!

You're welcome - I sort of like to help a fellow Rosa fan - having been one myself for the past 17 years or so :-)
The archive is a great resource, but I still can't seem to find the old Barks references page that my pal Asger from duckhunt made back in the 90'es - I have a cd with a back-up of that page, but I haven't got a webspace or time to put it online...

Let me know if you need webspace for that. As long as the number of visits doesn't exceed my ISP's maximum rate, you can use it for free, for purposes like that.

Yes, AC. I am a big fan of Don Rosa, through Carl Barks. It's like comparing apples to oranges, but Don Rosa is America's best comic cartoonist of our time. He has done Uncle Scrooge so well. I would really like to see him conquer another title.

Today I put the DR website in mention up here: http://disneycomics.dk/duckhunt/barksref/
Had to do some batch file renaming and some manual(sigh)editing to make it work, because file names and links from that old Geocities site were a mess of upper and lower case. Try to see if it works.
