Just finished re-reading Carl Barks' classic (1954) Uncle Scrooge story, "The Seven Cities of Cibola." The scene with the idol and the giant boulder (which George Lucas put into the first Indy movie) made me wonder if there have been any other Barks homages in other films. Anybody know?

I can't remember any specific homages (other than the boulder) but do know that both Lucas and Spielberg are great admirers of Carl Barks...
But then again, Barks saw the same cliff-hangers that inspired the Indy-movies, so it's kind a "What came first, the Hen or the egg?"
