Hey Everyone. I know a lot of you people miss having traditional Disney Comics. I do too especially ones based on The Disney Afternoon shows.

Here's a list of the comic books based on former Disney Afternoon shows.

Duck Tales
Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers
Tale Spin
Darkwing Duck
Aladdin
Gargoyles

Disney's Colossal Comics Collection and The Disney Afternoon are also acceptable. Just let me know which one you miss the most. You can pick more than one if you want to.

My list would be:

Duck Tales
Gummi Bears
Darkwing Duck
Aladdin
Gargoyles
Tale Spin
Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers

Now I know Gummi Bears never had a comic book series here in the U.S., but they did in Brazil. And I believe it was Gemstone that considering doing a Gummi Bears comic book series, but I think that they had trouble with copyright or licensing issues. Gummi Bears was one of my fave Disney Afternoon shows and I still feel that there is a lot of potential for a great comic book series.

That's quite an order Scroogefan. If Disney Afternoon shows that didn't have any comic books were mentioned I would added Goof Troop, Bonkers, The Lion King's Timon and Pumbaa, and Quack Pack. Maybe even Mighty Ducks and Shnookums and Meat. You make a good choice though. I heard that Disney Comics Inc was planning on doing a Gummi Bears series but they scrapped it due to the fact that it was going to be cancelled in the fall of 1991. Ideally, I'd like to see Walt Disney's Comics and Stories, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and Uncle Scrooge come back before any of the Disney Afternoon titles, but DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers and TaleSpin would likely have more name recognition with the Disney Afternoon fandom. If someone were to do a DuckTales comic right, though, I would scrap any ideas of trying to connect the Barks/Rosa world with the DuckTales world. Let DuckTales be what it is, an alternate take on the Disney Ducks. As much as I like Donald, if we are to be true to DuckTales, he is just an occasional guest star or a supporting player, and to put him back into his Barksian role lessens the parts Launchpad and Fenton play in the series. (Just leave out Bubba...). Quack Pack might have made an interesting comic, but in 2014, it would just look too dated. Goof Troop might be a better choice. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, while not a Disney Afternoon show, might find an appreciative audience of parents and kids, and be a great way to introduce young kids to comic books.

Those are good ideas Debbie. I appreciate your opinion. I never thought of The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh as a comic book. I think the core four Disney Comics titles should be brought back too. As for the more popular Disney Afternoon comics you just mentioned those are all good choices. Quack Pack is dated? No Wonder It never had it's own comic book. In fact they only made one comic for Disney Adventures Magazine. I'm not surprised that it's the least popular Disney Afternoon show next to Shnookums and Meat. I think Bubba is a cool character somewhat but not as cool as Gizmo Duck. Connecting the Barks and Rosa World with the Duck Tales World would not be a bad thing if they don't butcher the artwork too much like they did with Duck Tales (Boom Series) #3 and it would also be okay if Donald made a guest appearance in the Duck Tales comic if his role in the story was necessary. I like the idea of Goof Troop being a comic book. That sounds like a cool idea. Too Bad Disney Comics Inc never made one despite the fact that I once suggested it and maybe some other people as well.

I like Minnie best without lipstick, for the exact reasons you mentioned. When she has the lipstick, she really annoys me, but without it she looks more innocent.

Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Talespin and Darkwing Duck.
I wouldn't even mind a series that took all four shows under one banner and rotated the spotlight each month.

Second that, second that. BTW, aren't you referring to "The legend of the chaos god"? (Alright granted, there was only one comic for each show but I believe that's the closest thing we have.)

I liked The Legend of the Chaos God. That was a cool storyline typing five Disney Afternoon shows into one comic. I still like to read that story every chance I get.

I wouldn't mind it going "The Legend of the Chaos God" route, or go the WDCS route and have one main story and a couple of short ones.

Looks like Talespin and Goof Troop are finally being fully released/ finished. Also says that Ducktales the movie is scheduled for a mass release.
