Today's Donald Duck strip is the daily strip from February 25, 1958
Today's Mickey Mouse strip is the daily strip from June 17, 1957

The Mickey daily strips currently being published on Alpha Comedy are by Gottfredson. So I guess eventually they will be collected by Fantagraphics too. But it looks like the sunday pages are work by Manuel Gonzales, and all Donald Duck material is Al Taliaferro. I don't think we are ever going to see a printed complete collection by those two, but a book with selected work and some essays would be nice. In Norway both got a book like that in a series called "Hall of Fame". I would love to see a similar series in English.
But we might get to see more newspaper strips collected soon. According to the recent announcement by IDW, they are going to collect Disney newspaper strips in the "Library of American Comics" series next year.
