Fantastic! Gottfredson, Murry, Moores, Gonzales, Wright and Taliaferro's works are recognisable. There are a couple of other artists who worked for Disney Studios and/or Western Publishing, whose work I recognise, but I forget their names.

I added some of the artists' names (see on top). Maybe the specialists reading this thread can help fill in the missing credits and correct possible errors?

I would guess that the drawings above attributed to Bob Grant, were actually drawn by Dick Moores (who drew the Uncle Remus/Bre'r Rabbit strip from 1945-1952). They all look very like his style. I believe that the drawing with the beavers was also Moores. According to COA, Bob Grant only drew Bre'r Rabbit twice.
I wonder if the other long Mickey story was drawn by Ken Hultgren?
But, it also seems that ALL these special promotional drawings and stories were drawn by Disney artists in the Disney Studio Comics Department -not Western Publishing. So, maybe Hultgren was not the missing artist.

The ones credited to Bob Grant should indeed be credited to Dick Moores. The style is an uncanny match. Manuel Gonzales does a pretty good Mickey and a decent Donald as well (I was never fond of Gottfredson's attempts at Donald and as far as I know, Taliaferro never did any sketches of Mickey, so this is nice to see). Too bad he didn't do much serialized work.

Corrections added. The Gonzales drawings are one of the only instances where I've seen a DD by Gonzales, so it's quite spectacular!
Regarding the Mickey story, it doesn't look a lot like Hultgren to me, but Mickey's mouth reminds me a bit of Dick Moores.

A Feather in His Cap looks looks like it could be Moores, but....it doesn't match up to any previous Moores Mouse or Duck work that I've seen. The resemblance is only slight. I don't think its him. =\
It's too...I dunno...tight looking?...to be Ken Hultgren. That possibility I had not thought of but I don't think it's him as I seem to imagine his work being looser for some reason. Is it possible that the artist could be Harvey Eisenberg? I don't have my copy of Mickey and the Beanstalk on me but does the art match for him any at all? Seems like it could be.

Harvey Eisenberg does look like a good hypothesis to me too. Here is an image for comparison (click for larger scan)

I think that the drawing with Mickey and Pluto in the boat was drawn by Dick Moores, NOT Manny Gonzales.
"A Feather In His Cap" is NOT Dick Moores. I would say it IS Harvey Eisenberg. The single Mickey & Donald drawing for The Sister Kenny Fund looks like Eisenberg, as well.

Agreed.Quote:I would say it IS Harvey Eisenberg. The single Mickey & Donald drawing for The Sister Kenny Fund looks like Eisenberg, as well.
Both of these items were produced by Disney's own Comic Strip Dept., for which Eisenberg never worked. I have no idea who drew "Feather," but I'll try to find out. I *suspect* the Sister Kenny image is penciled by Manuel Gonzales and inked by Dick Moores, though I'm not sure??so I don't want to make a decisive guess yet.
The Brer Rabbit drawing is by John Ushler. I like Brunswick stew with lots of rabbit in it, too (and made some a few months ago!).
