I thought I would share with you some "discoveries" that I've heard about recently.
This Murry gag was published in 1959 in Brazil:

It seems the gag was only published three years later in American comic books, in MM #82:

That is very unusual, but the exact reason for this is unknown.
Even more unusual, this Chip'n Dale gag by Phil DeLara was published in 1960 or 1961 in various countries (here are scans of the Swedish and Brazilian prints) but apparently not in the USA:

This is possibly a gag that was sheduled for Chip'n Dale (maybe #17) but eventually shelved (unless one here has an American print of it?).

Just as happened with Barks, several one-page gags were unused for several years as they were shelved due to an unexpected advert being placed in an issue at the last minute. Often, these pages or half-pages were used 2-5 years later (or NEVER printed). I remember a few 1957, 1958 and 1959 Barks gags that were printed in the early '60s. I remember several Tony Strobl gags that received similar treatment.
No doubt that the Micky gag was originally slated for a 1959 issue of Mickey Mouse, and the Chip 'N Dale for a Chip 'N Dale issue that same year.
