I gotta admit - I was laughing hard when I got to the crows on Dumbo. I was laughing even harder when I got to Uncle Remus (especially considering I've seen Song of the South and had a long conversation with a certain friend of mine about the very things mentioned). But when I got to Number One my jaw dropped because it was totally the last thing I was expecting. Heck I didn't even think anyone knew about it outside of its "source" which I think for all intents and purposes considering it has come up elsewhere for other reasons should not under any circumstances be mentioned again in this thread. XD

Looks like the art was by a guy whose first name starts with a B. ;)

I'm confused. #1 was a story by Floyd Gottfredson, with artwork by him. I think the inker was Bill Wright (which may be who you're referring to as having a first name starting with "B".

I'm referring to the actual book which has artwork thats been redrawn by Bill Wright, not the original stuff that the book itself is based on. And I was trying to avoid mentioning Gottfredson's name by the way given earlier discussion about the you-know-what. :)

Sorry. I hadn't noticed the "Sickopath" link before, so I didn't see the book, and notice Wrights redrawing. I now see what you mean. Paul Murry redrew the story later for Western Publishing. But in the original link of top 10 racist Disney stories, the artwork looked like Gottfredson's pencils with Wright's inking.
