Topic: Abbeville publications - huge books?

Hi everyone.
Does anybody know how I may find the Disney books published by Abbeville Press? I am especially searching for the "huge" books which included forewords by Carl Barks, and a complete list of these books would be great.

I have two of these huge books myself, and the Donald Duck book includes some great sketches made by mr. Barks. Highly appreciated and very much recommended!
Also, the book called Animated Features and Silly Symphonies shows some quite unique stories ranging from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Pinnochio, Bambi, Alice to Bucky Bug, Timid Elmer and the Ugly Duckling! Fantastic...

Is there more of these great (huge!) books?

If I remember correctly, in addition to the Animated Features/Silly Symphonies books, I have three Mouse books titled: "I Mickey Mouse" and "I Goofy", "Mickey and Minnie" as well as 3 "Duck Books": I Donald, I Scrooge, "Huey, Dewey and Louie". That makes 7 books. But 7 is an odd number for a series. So, I don't know if there are more.

You're talking about this series: http://coa.inducks.org/publication.php/x/us/BCS
We don't have any data about a "Mickey and Minnie" book, though!

Apparently, my old memory is off. I guess there are only 2 Mouse books, after all, and only 6 in total.

Thanks for your great answers.
In Norway this series has 20 books, and I believed the number to be much higher.
Is there any other series with "huge" books published in English?

Question about Uncle Scrooge book in this series. Inducks says "contents guessed from Italian original". First printing (versions prior 1976) in Italy and in some other countries (including Finland, Sweden etc) had Treasure of Marco Polo (W US 64-02) as last story. But it was substituted with another story after 1976 because of banning this "Vietnam War" story by Disney. I know there was a circular note sent to all publishers in 1976 "advicing" not to publish this story at all. One Finnish editor of Aku Ankka told me that it was erroneously published in Uncle Scrooge 134 in 1976 and Disney went mad about it. Since it seems to be unsure if it was included in Abbeville's 1979 version, i'd like to know for sure how it was. Is it in there or not?

You are remembering some of the European versions of the series, Rob, where in Germany and Denmark (among other places) there was a MICKEY AND MINNIE book.
The books are not called "I Mickey Mouse," "I Donald Duck" and so forth. I'm afraid you're again recalling the European title format, where they had names like IO TOPOLINO and ICH DONALD DUCK. In the United States the books were simply
?¢ MICKEY MOUSE
?¢ DONALD DUCK
?¢ UNCLE SCROOGE
?¢ GOOFY
?¢ ANIMATED FEATURES AND SILLY SYMPHONIES
?¢ DONALD DUCK AND HIS NEPHEWS (later edition: HUEY, DEWEY AND LOUIE)
Timoro, the US version of UNCLE SCROOGE definitely didn't include "Marco Polo"; that much I definitely remember from my copy, which I bought first-run.

Thanks, Ramapith!
I thought so. Someone should correct that one for Inducks.
