I sometimes wondered why Gottfredson would draw panels with large empty areas and just parts of the bodies of Mickey or Goofy at the border of the panels. Now I know why...
Sometimes these cuts wouldn't look so bad, actually, since they gave the impression that the characters were "struggling" to get into the story in a funny way...
