Hello. I will be in Paris on business next week. I have heard of the Ducks being more popular in Europe in general than in the United States. Just wondering if anyone here could tell me if Euro Disney was worth the trip for a Duck collector.

The majority of merchandise for sale at Disneyland Paris doesn't have ducks on it. Most of the stuff has Mickey, Goofy, Pooh, Tigger, Grumpy, etc. on it. I would say maybe 1% of things have Donald or Daisy on it, and 0.0001% has Scrooge. You really have to search to find the Donald / Daisy pins, mugs and t-shirts. I found a pair of Scrooge socks when I was there last month. But generally I find the amount of merchandise featuring one of the ducks is extremely small, compared to all the other characters that are used.
There is a very nice art store in Disney Village with lots of WDCC statues and artwork (like cells and paintings). You'll definitely find some ducks there (but you can probably get these things cheaper somewhere else).
Besides the merchandise I think that Disneyland Paris is always worth the trip, especially if you've never been there.

I would guess that just as a Disney Ducks Comics fan, a trip to Disneyworld Paris would be expensive and a disappointment. France is not the place to find Barks, Rosa and Disney Comics related material. They were big on the Franco-Belgian style comics, but, like Great Britain, they never had much tradion in Disney-related things.
I would think you would do much better at a comic book shop or antiquariat or comics festival in Scandinavia, Germany or Italy. I spend a fair amount of time in Belgium, looking through book shops and the like, and have only seen a few Super Picsou Géant for all my many hours. I still have NONE of my stories in a French printing.
But, it might just be worth seeing DisneyWorld Paris for a comparison with DisneyWorld Florida, Tokyo, or Disneyland.
If you see an antquariat with hundreds of 2nd hand issues of "Journal De Mickey", please let me know the address. No collectors seem to collect them, or sell them to book stores.
