From what I have read other places, the problem was hardware malfunction in the server's cooling system. Hopefully everything is now OK!

Great to see that everything's back to normal. :) I was really worried after a while, but still great to see things up and running again.

The reason was a wrong cooling system and broken fan. The main problem is that not even our Internet provider can easily access the machine (it is located in a building at a different place than their office). So we didn't know what was the problem, and had to ask the internet provider to check the server several times until he finally could replace the broken fan.
