Hi everyone. I am very new to the comic world and I just wanted to know if anyone knew the name or date of a disney comic published somewhere in the 1940-50s. I know it is about either Donald or Mickey finding Atlantis, it also has a story in it about an animal escaping the circus, a bear I think. I have the comic at home but would have to dig it out to get the names and characters and I thought I would ask before I did that (hope I can even find it)! As I said, I am very new to comics and hope this is the correct way to ask a question. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks!

A good guess is that you're thinking of Carl Barks' "The Sunken City" (originally published without a title). That story was published for the first time in the USA in 1954 (in Uncle Scrooge #5). You might want to have a look at the following web address, where you can see a thumbnail of the first page of the story, and a list of its prints and reprints in many different countries around the world: http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=W+US++++5-02
Uncle Scrooge #5 doesn't seem to contain a story about an escaping bear, though -- see the complete contents of the book here: http://coa.inducks.org/issue.php/x/us/US++++5
