Can't we just have simple titles?
Being able to identify Moderators easily is pretty logical and useful-- not to establish a hierarchy, of course, but to know whom to turn to for help.
I fail to see the need for more distinctions, though. I am not necessarily opposed to personal titles, so long as it does not foster an escalation of some sort, but something clear and simple must be found to distinguish those in charge of the Forum's maintenance.
Newcomers will also have a hard time understanding what all those different titles are supposed to mean.

OK, so I've switched back to the default: Administrator, Moderator, Member.
There are many Moderators, but I think they can't moderate anything, until I assign them to a specific forum (so actually you should not see any delete or edit link, is that right?).

Surely my personal title of "Barksist" is easily understandable, and shouldn't spur any major escalation. We must expect a few other Barksists and some "Rosaists", maybe some "Kay Wrightists"...... and maybe even a few "Kay Leftists"!

"How Now Brown Cow" is an English "tongue twister" used to teach foreigners to make the English sound, "OW!". It sounds almost exactly the same in The Fries (Frisian) language, and much the same in Dutch, except for "cow", which is spelt "koe" and would be spelt: "koo" in English.
I guess it would be a mild joke in Fries (Vries).
