Topic: Who Thinks Disney Comic All Stars should be made?

I think there should be a new comic book called Disney Comic All Stars. It should have the traditional Disney Characters, The Disney Afternoon Characters and the characters from Disney Feature Films all in one comic book. If anyone agrees with me on this please let me know. Maybe someone can send a letter to Marvel Comics making a request for it.

If they were interested in making comics like that, I guess the first thing we would see is a comic series based on Disney Infinity. And if they are going to adapt the upcoming Disney Infinity 2.0 into comics, that would mean a lot of Marvel characters mixed with Disney characters.

That would sound good except for the Marvel Characters. I'm talking about Disney Characters that were originally made by The Walt Disney Company. Although Marvel Characters are now technically Disney Characters.

A Disney Comics All stars sounds like a good idea, but I think Disney would just use it to showcase current characters. Mickey, Donald, Scrooge, Darkwing Duck and the rest would likely be excluded.

I'm glad you think it's a good idea Debbie. I find your lack of optimism disturbing though.
Review Or Die
Keep the faith, guys. :) I'd love to see a big team up book, or full on graphic novel.

Now You're talking Review Or Die. I'd like to see if anyone shares this opinion. I wrote a letter to Marvel recently requesting that they make this comic book. As Far as I know it's on it's way there right now.

I think Mickey, Donald and Goofy could have a good chance of coming back to comics, but most likely in a style mimicking the new shorts. I don't think Uncle Scrooge would work in that style, though. (With people's opinions on the wealthy nowadays, would Uncle Scrooge/DuckTales really bring in new readers? Although it would perhaps be a good time to turn a throwaway gag in one of Barks' stories into a story of its own...Uncle Scrooge vs. the League To Abolish Billionaires.) I still think that Disney is more interested in promoting their newer characters, though.

Maybe so Debbie but there are a still a few people who like Scrooge McDuck. I know because I'm one of them. As long as there are fans of the traditional Disney Characters there is still a fighting chance that we might see them in comic books again.

I hope so. I'm quite fond of the "classic" versions of Scrooge, Donald, and Mickey, and would hate to see them just vanish.

Me Too Debbie.

When re-reading this topic and the other one you made, I now see that you were talking about a all star comic book, not a all star comic story as I first thought..

But:

Looks like that is actually going to happen. Joe Books is publishing a graphic novel based on Disney Infinity this autumn.

I wonder how a Elsa and Lightning McQueen team-up will work in the story :)

Really? I'm glad you read that thread. I didn't think anyone was going to pay attention to it. Those of you who thought that I meant that they shoul all appear in the same story well you were so wrong.
King Scrooge The First
When Archie published an H-B line back in the 90s, one of their titles was 'Hanna-Barbera All-Stars' with rotating stars.
Roger North
That's true King Scrooge.
