I noticed that some Alice in Wonderland characters from the novel didn't not appear in the Disney version like Gryphon, Mock Turtle and Jabberwocky but they did appear in some concept arts of the movie. I wonder why they were not in the final version of the movie? Maybe because they wanted to add other characters from Alice Through the Looking-Glass like Tweedledum and Tweedledee? I was always wondered if the Disney movie was a movie adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland or Through the Looking-Glass and that confuse me. Both Gryphon and Mock Turtle were seen in the Jell-O Commercials along with the Disney version of Alice and they were drawn in Disney style. Those commercials shows what the Disney versions of Gryphon and Mock Turtle will look like if they were not scrapped in the final version of the movie. Jabberwocky was seen in one of the Disney picture book adaptations of the movie. Was this scene in the book based on a deleted scene from the movie or that scene was only added by the creators of this book? Maybe it was added by the book creators if that scene was not in the script of the movie.

Yes, I know that Jabberwocky is from Through the Looking Glass but I wonder why Disney decided to put some Through the Looking Glass characters in a movie that is based on the first novel? Maybe Disney wanted to make adaptations of both novels but later they decided to make only an adaptation of the first novel with some characters from the second novel being added to the movie? I wonder why they decided to scrap Jabberwocky in the final version of the movie? I know that it appeared in the live-action movie version of Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton.
