Hey everyone! I'm fairly new here, although I've been collecting Disney comics since the summer of 1992, when I found Gladstone's "Premiere" issue of Uncle Scrooge (#281) at a local comic book store that I had recently discovered that summer. Having grown up on Ducktales as a kid, I was instantly drawn in by that issue (a Don Rosa cover and a Barks story inside, although at the time I had no idea who either of those people were).
Fortunately, my local comic book store owner was a huge Disney comics fan, having a complete! set of Uncle Scrooge and a large number of Disney comics in his personal collection, so he had a huge group of back issues for reasonable prices (generally $1-4), and so I slowly built up my back issue collection of Uncle Scrooge, to the point that I have the complete 1st Gladstone and Disney runs).
I continued to collect Disney comics until after graduating college, where difficulty in finding a job and tight finances after being released from my parents' support required me to stop purchasing Gemstone's larger, more expensive titles at that time.
Since Fantagraphics has started releasing Carl Barks' library, I've started collecting those works, as well as picking up the first volume of their BEAUTIFUL Don Rosa collection. It's incredible! So excited, as Don Rosa is one of my all-time FAVORITE authors! It will be nice to have his collection complete here in America. :)
But something I've tried to find, and I'm not still not sure of the answer: Will Fantagraphics' collection ONLY collect the Donald and Scrooge stories? Does anyone know if Barks' Gyro, Grandma Duck, Daisy Duck's Diary, or Junior Woodchucks stories will be published in this collection (including the stories that he wrote but did not draw)? What about Pluto Saves the Ship or Riddle of the Red Hat? I've fortunately read Riddle thanks to Gemstone's Free Comic Book Day several years ago, but to my knowledge, Pluto Saves the Ship has not been published in the US outside of Another Rainbow's black and white collection since it was originally published back in 1942!
Sorry if this question has been asked before. I tried searching the forums, but I couldn't find where it was addressed in a particular thread. I'm really hoping that Fantagraphics does not just limit the collection to Scrooge and Donald only, as that would eliminate almost 100 stories and a decent portion of Barks' work (albeit not necessarily his finest stories).
Thanks for your time! Talk to you later!

I don't know what's going on with those collections. I'm curious about them myself. Maybe someone on here who works for Fantagraphics will give you the answer eventually.

I don't remember where I saw it at right now, but my understanding is that all of that stuff will be included.

I sure wish Fantagraphics would let us know ahead of time what volumes will be coming available later in a slipcase like the do with the Don Rosa Library. It would really help with my ordering!

Yeah Ramapith is a good person to ask. Thanks Gooey. I'm surprised I didn't think of him.
