Topic: The Most Disturbing Mickey Mouse cartoon ever

If you look on the Disney Weirdness page they have a Mickey Mouse in Vietnam video. In this video he joins the army and goes to Vietnam and Spoiler Alert He dies in the end. If you don't like the idea of Mickey dying then I suggest you don't watch the video because it is very disturbing.

Eww. Not cool.

I know it's not cool Opal. I wish I didn't see it myself but once you see something like this you can't unsee it. One thing is for sure I'm not seeing it again.

Really disturbing. But the user comments were even more disturbing.
I need to watch a Disney cartoon next to get that out of my head.

Same here. I'm definitely not watching this again.

I woudn't mind it if it was satirical or had some joke behind it but it's not. It's just Mickey geting killed... :(

Obviously not official Disney film ::)
It was made by underground artists (Lee Savage and Milt Glaser) and it's critique was towarded against Vietnam war. Shock treatment so to speak.

I'm glad you all agree with me on this. I never thought of this as being an unofficial Disney Cartoon before. I'm sorry I misspelled your name Opel.

On a scale of one to ten, how badly will it scar me if I watch this video?
Opel Rekord1985
No problem Roger. :) Take care.
@Azure, I don't really know... didn't scar myself for live but ye, not cool.

Obviously not Disney-approved. Some would call it art. I call it an anti-war piece of propaganda. And not a very effective one at that.

Thanks for understanding Opel. That depends on how open your mind is Azure. If you have a strong threshold for Death Scenes then it probably won't bother you but if you don't then I wouldn't recommend watching it. I have seen it once and I already wish that I haven't.

To me, this is a moderately interesting cultural artifact, and that's about all. But really, I was expecting something way stronger from comments here. I can't imagine how some of you would react to really subversive repurposing of Disney characters.

How 'bout some good ol' Air Pirates?
