Hello to everyone!
I'm KforKaos, an Italian Disney fan.
I am writing to tell you a project that I'm carrying on my YouTube channel, the "project B.A.R.K.S.," in which I will analyze (in italian with english sub) all the Barks' long stories and also some ten-pagers which I liked, giving my impressions combined with images, music , notes of publishing history (thanks to Becattini, Boschi & co.!) and the most interesting curiosity about each story. A few days ago I released the "pilot" of the operation: I'll link it at the end of the post.

The aim is both to pay homage to the man who I consider the greatest cartoonist who ever lived, and also is to spread as much as possible the knowledge of his incredible work.

I hope represents something pleasant not only for Disney newbies, but also for you - us - unrecoverable fans. :)

Congratulations for the videos, those are very interesting to watch.
I was wondering if you could make a video (or write on a thread here) about Panini taking the Disney contract. What exactly happened, if it will have consequences on the magazines, what's the opinion of the readers, if it will be for good or for the worst, if it may have a connection with the recent drop of Greek editions, etc.
I know it's not the appropriate thread to talk about it, but you are the first Italian on the forums that came to my mind :P

Thank you man! :)

I will post a video in the next future, of course, or write something to reply to you more exhaustively in my blog; for now, I link you an other article of a friend of mine: it's in italian, I wish you could understand it beacuse it explains very well some of the questions you've asked to me :)

I've been enjoying your videos very much! Thank you very much.
Is there any chance you could in the future make a video comparing other Disney artists art styles to that of Carl Barks? I'm very interested to know how Barks influenced others artists, both storytelling wise and in the art style!
Bye

Thanks, I'm glad to hear this! :)

Sure, in some episodes of this project I will mention some artists who have been influenced by Barks (like Marco Rota, Vicar, Daniel Branca, Rodolfo Cimino, Romano Scarpa and, obviously, Don Rosa and Daan Jippes). For example, in the 2nd episode I've mentioned Cesar Ferioli. I don't know if I'm going to make a single video entirely dedicated to this topic, but of course I will talk about that during the videos of the project. But never say never, right? Anyway, it's a good idea for a future video. ;)

Here's the 6th episode of the project, "Christmas trees and rare bugs" :)
