As happened in the past for Carl Barks and Floyd Gottfredson, today here in Italy has been published by The Walt Disney Company Italia and Corriere della Sera the first issue of "Le grandi storie Disney - L'opera omnia di Romano Scarpa", or simply the Romano Scarpa Library. 48 weekly volumes, 360 pages each one, chronological, obviously Italian language; 1,90 euros first volume, 7,99 euros the following ones. That's a really cool edition. Me and some others were thinking of buying it from Greece (through Italian e-bay or something else). I look forward to it.

For 360 pages that's a pretty fair price. I wish we had something like that for Scarpa in America.

Finally. I knew this would happen one day. I won't be buying any of them (first of all I can't read Italian very well, I know some French, but that's not quite enough), but it's worth printing.

I must admit, I'm half-tempted to just say fuck it and pick this up. Sure, I have no Italian, but hey, I could pick up a little, and I've already read at least some of these stories in English or French, which would help me to limp along...

Damn, this needs to be picked up by an English-language publisher! Scarpa is one of my all-time favorite Disney comics artists - the third on the list, actually, after Barks and Gottfredson. I've been wanting a properly done collector's edition of his work for ages.
By the way, hello everybody! :) Semi-new forum member commenting for the first time here.
