I have two scans of first pages of 2 of my stories on my first "Creator Index" page which are ruined, despite Outducks having these same scans in good condition. So, my submitting good scans won't help fix them, as the system "thinks" they are good (and won't replace them with new scans. I would like to fix them myself if it is possible. Please tell me how I can do that. If I can't, then I would like to request that they be fixed by an Indexer.
The two stories are:
1) D91352 "The Punctual Duck" (1 page gag)
2) D91334 "She Who Laughs Last" (2-page story)
Somehow, in the transfer of the top half of those pages to my Creator's page, there was an open exposure or the scan didn't get completed, and there are completely dark areas on the margins, erasing more than one-fourth of the pages. They ruin the look of my page.
Please help.

Hi Roy
I see the two scans that you are talking about are half dark apparently due to the way they were photographed. They are both scans of Swedish reprints.
If you have those Swedish reprints and are able to provide good replacements for these scans, please use the links below:
http://coa.inducks.org/sendscan.php?c=se&s=KA&i=KA1992-48&u=KA1992-48e
http://coa.inducks.org/sendscan.php?c=se&s=KA&i=KA1992-47&u=KA1992-47c
The scans will not appear immediately but will be held until they are "accepted". This is because the old scans will be removed. I will of course take care of that.
If you do not have replacements for those Swedish scans, I will think of what I can do, but there may not be any easy solution.

I already uploaded a clean scan of the Swedish printing. I did NOT upload the Dutch printing of the 1st page of D91334, as COA ALREADY HAS a good one (it's only a failed scan on MY OWN CREATOR PAGE, but there is already a GOOD QUALITY scan on the page on the STORY REFERENCE PAGE. So my uploading ANOTHER scan of that page WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED by COA. You might have to copy the story reference page images directly onto my page (if that's possible).

I have another question regarding COA uploading of scans of images. It regards "shelved" stories. These are stories that were bought by a Disney Franchise, and assigned a story number, but "shelved" (e.g. determined never to be published). Those stories, in most cases, were only drawn in storyboard form, and no final pencils or inks were drawn. In one or two cases of gag pages, the final pencils may have been drawn, and one 6 page story may have had pencils drawn.
Assuming that we will never have anything more to show than the storyboard drawings, can we make it that a scan of the upper half of Page 1 of each storyboard scan submitted can SHOW UP IN THE STORY ROW for shelved stories on the Creator's Index? I have a long list of Egmont shelved stories of mine, for which I am currently uploading scans of Page 1 of their detailed storyboard drawings. You know my style of storyboards (more like final pencil style).

Cacou-I have now uploaded all the scans for my "shelved stories and gag pages"-all of them at the tail end of my Creator's index. Please have someone upload those pages to the story rows on my creator's Index last page. Thank you. Also, -I will now upload another Dutch issue of D91334, despite there being a good one in Inducks already, so that the entering of it might be used to replace my flawed scan on my story row for that story (even though the scan on the Inducks page for that story, looks fine). Please see if you can fix my two flawed scans. Thanks.

Quote from user: Robb_KI already uploaded a clean scan of the Swedish printing.
I've seen anything like that.
When you upload a scan, you either click on a yellow button of an issue page or click "add a scan" from the story page, then select which print you have. In both cases you end up at this page:
http://coa.inducks.org/sendscan.php?c=se&s=KA&i=KA1992-48&u=KA1992-48e
This page should tell you that there is already a scan for the item, but that you can propose a better scan. In that case, a COAzilla message is created and the replacement needs to be approved. I've seen no such COAzilla report.

The bad quality scan of D 91334 is an automatically cropped thumbnail of the Swedish scan.

I'm not following you here. It is possible nowadays to propose better scans as replacements. Of course, when it is accepted, your clean scan will show everywhere the same (on the creator index pages, story pages etc.).

Sorry, I wrote this before the scans of my storyboards came up onto my Creator Index Page. That portion of my effort is now complete.
I have newly uploaded scans of the two ruined scans of D91334 and D91352. I hope they will be approved so untainted half-page croppings of them which automatically go to my index page, will not have the shadows(that the current ones have. But, I am skeptical they will be approved as replacements, as the current scans for those stories, shown referenced by story code, are fine. It's only the "automatically-sent" cropped versions, located on my index page, that have the ugly shadows on them. I hope my new uploads will be approved and will fix the scans on my index page.

I have approved the scan for the Dutch print of D 91334. However, I didn't get any new scan for D 91352 (see the list of your posts here: http://coa.inducks.org/coazilla.php?sentby=Robb_K )

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. What you've uploaded are scans of _Dutch_ prints, whereas the scans at fault are scans of _Swedish_ prints. You would have to upload scans of _Swedish_ prints to correct the problem.
It turns out that COA has "choosen" to display scans of Swedish prints preferentially for these two stories because the Swedish reprints were published earlier than the Dutch ones. Of course, this setting could be changed, but that would affect thousand of other stories, probably in a bad way, hence this is not a good solution. There is no way to make an "exception" either without changing the "philosophy" of the system.
The best way might be to simply remove the Swedish scans.
Anyway, this is of course only a minor problem (in my view at least).

Nope. The scan on top of this page has a shadow and it is not cropped

Sorry, I uploaded the Norwegian version. I found out that I don't have the swedish one. I've asked for help from Swedish members here. to obtain a scan of it.
Regarding my "shelved" stories, -currently only one of them doesn't have a storyboard page showing on my Creator's index pages. That one is "The Shah's Gift".
Regarding my cover for DF DDFR 5: I derew it, and also coloured it. But the "art example shown on my Creator's Index page is from the grayscale preview giveaway issue (DF DDFRS 5A), as that publication is where a form of that cover was first published. But, I would like the colour version shown on my creator's page, as that is the complete work I did on that cover (and it was the real publication, rather than the preview giveaway. Isn't there a way the real DDFR 5 colour cover could appear on my Creator's page? My cover listed for that cover art entry IS for DF DDFR 5, rather than for its preview giveaway.

1)I have now received a scan of the Swedish printing of D91352 ("The Punctual Duck"), and I have submitted it to Coazilla. SKO or whoever is assigned to it, please replace the previous version with my new one. I assume that has already been done with my good Dutch version of D91334. And yet, the ruined cropped scan on my Creator's page did not change accordingly. I see now that D91352 is now good.
But D91334 did not change when I sent a new scan of the Dutch printing, because I now see that the example for the story is the Swedish printing. So, I have uploaded a good scan of the Swedish printing. So, please replace the poor-quality Swedish scan, with my good-quality scan. Thank you.
2) Please also look into changing the example scan of my cover for DDFR 5 from the grayscale cover of the giveaway preview issue, to the colour version on the actual issue, because, despite the grayscale being issued first, the regular issue had already been drawn and coloured, and the grayscale cover was made from a photo of it.
I was the one who coloured it, and want the colour version to be shown on my Creator's Index page, rather than the grayscale.

I updated the scans with the new versions you sent.
Regarding the scan for DDFR 5, this problem is more difficult to solve because there is an algorithm which automatically chooses (in this case) the earliest scan as "primary image" for that story. I can not change the rules without changing the results of thousands of other pages. We don't store information in the database as to which print is the "original", we just list all known prints. Still, showing the b&w version instead of the colored version does not look like a big issue.
Regarding D 93277, please do ask Scalabroni himself if you can. Having first hand information is always better than having to draw on hypothesis and conjectures.

I have found a copy of the original "International file copy of Page 1 of D93277 ("Unexpected Bonus"), which I received from my editor, once the artwork (to final inks) was approved. It lists Scalabroni as the "artist". Unfortunately, it doesn't list the inker (as I believe was standard procedure and policy). I have sent scans of the inked pages to Santiago asking him if he drew the pencils for that story, and if his inker changed from the one who inked my other co-productions with him. I suspect that he'll tell me that he did, indeed, draw that story, and that this was a different inker. I'll let you know when he responds.

I suspect that he'll tell me that he did, indeed, draw that story, and that this was a different inker. I'll let you know when he responds.
