Does anyone know of an affordable way to get those nice editions of the Pertwillaby Papers and Captain Kentucky that were printed a year or two ago and funded on indiegogo?

Digitals are actually surprisingly on Amazon. I'd rather get a physical copy if possible though

As stated on the campaign pages, everything is still available directly from me at the original price (plus a very few EUR PayPal fees). Just have a look at www.indiegogo.com/donrosa-art and drop me a message including your shipping address and what you'd like to order at (Email removed). (The third book is currently still in preproduction due to the vast amount of material that will be included, but can also still be preordered.)

Thanks! Do the books cost 33 euro or 35 usd? The different campaign pages state it differently.

The final price is 33,- EUR. (I had to use USD in the first campaign since Indiegogo didn't offer EUR back then.)

Aww, that's another ten dollars. I may have to wait on getting it. Its certainly not a bad price, but I tend to be somewhat of a cheapskate when it comes to this stuff. I think the most I've ever spent on individual comic publications was approx. 16 USD for the Life of Scrooge and all the Fantagraphics collections.
They look like excellent volumes and well worth the price. Hopefully I'll still end up buying them.

No problem, I still have quite a couple of boxes full, so you can take your time. ;)

The price is actually calculated so tightly that I nearly lost money with the first two books despite reaching twice the campaign goal. That's why I had to up the price a bit in the second campaign and also make the third book (that will have more pages than PP and CK and an even smaller print run) more expensive than the first two.

I'm not Jano, obviously (...or AM I?!?), but Pertwillaby is clearly the better bet. Captain Kentucky is concerned to a large extent with local Louisville issues of the time, and as such can be sort of inscrutable.

I recommend The Pertwillaby Papers over Captain Kentucky, though I suggest you get both. PP is such a great comic, and as I re-read it I like it more and more.
I also really think that Vortex might be one of Don Rosa's best stories, bar none.

While the (so-called) art in CK is better, PP is certainly more enjoyable for Duck fans. CK was a weekly gag comic strip intended for a local Louisville/Kentucky audience with tons of local references (some of which even Don doesn't remember anymore), while PP is a classic adventure strip in the spirit of Carl Barks's Uncle Scrooge stories. That's why most of the ideas from PP ended up in a Duck story (which makes it even more interesting for Duck fans since they can compare it with the final Duck version).
Still, I'd get both books since the bonus features are spread across both volumes (and partly also due to the fact that I can offer free shipping only if both are ordered at the same time... otherwise I'd lose money since there is virtually no profit margin in this project).
