The first two "Disney" books to introduce me to the world of the Duck family were the following books released in 1976 in the United States:
Uncle Scrooge No. 132 - Reprint of "The Philosopher's Stone," by Carl Barks
Huey, Dewey, and Louie and the Junior Woodchucks No. 40
I still have both of my original copies... They are both definitely not 9.8's CGC books at this point though :) I have just wonderful memories of reading these books over the years.

Quote from user: MorequackQuote from user: AzureBlueQuote from user: MorequackI was 9 years old when I read my very first Disney comic. I lived in Greece and it was the Greek publication MICKEY MOUSE from 1967 featuring the Italian story, "Paperino e l'isola del Tesoro." Never published in the USA, it translates to, "Donald Duck on Treasure Island." I wish I still had that comic!

Wow are you kidding me? In the mail today a recent ebay purchase of mine came, which included the British publication of this story. I live in the US but it was only like 5 bucks on ebay. Looked cool to me
Wow is right! Thanks to you I just saw this on Ebay for $5.25 and bought a copy, as well! Thanks for mentioning that! It had not occurred to me to look for the UK version. Hopefully this version is printed well.
You're welcome! It's printed fairly well I would say, the only annoying thing is the font used for the translation, which could be better but could be worse. Coloring is as a whole pretty good and print quality is excellent. I don't think there's any real problems with the translation.
