Topic: Italian money bin

Does anyone know how the Italian money bin happened to have a dome roof rather than a flat one? I wonder how this change happened.

I have an Italian Polistil/Politoys heavy metal money bin with the dome roof on it which I believe is from the 70's. It is an amazing well engineered toy where you can remove the dome, use a key, and then turn dials to a combination to open. Even though I would probably prefer a flat roof bin like I grew up with in the Barks' stories (if one were made) I love this piece. It is made so solid like you'd expect Scrooge's money bin to be.

I have to share how I obtained this. There was one on eBay for sale missing the Scrooge figure, combination lock, dome, etc., so I was the only bidder. The bin itself was in nice condition, though. Then low and behold about 6 months later another one became available on eBay with everything I was missing, but the bin was all scratched up so again I was the only bidder. I combined the two and ended up with an absolutely perfect one. I was very lucky but I don't think I'll try this buying strategy again.
