I cant remember if it is Mickey & goofy or a duck story. The characters stumble upon a town where everyone walks past and ignores them. It turns out they are actors hypnotized by a movie producer who demands realism in his picture. I think it is in the Australian series. Have checked but cant be certain which one if at all.

Oh man, now I'm picturing Werner Herzog making an appearance in a Disney comic.

I appreciate your viewing and answering, but how does this help?
GeoX
Well, it helps as a jumping-off point to anyone who might be interested in imagining Herzog films enacted with Disney characters. That's something, right?
But seriously, I doubt anyone's holding out on you. If someone had an answer to your question, she would've said. I can easily picture the scenario you describe as a Paul-Murry-drawn Mickey story, but that's pure guesswork on my part.

What do you mean Australian Disney? Aren't all the Disney products are American? I did not know Disney made any movies or cartoons for Australia.
Madminstrel
During the 40s to the 70s Australia reprinted American Disney comics ( W. G. Publications) for Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. They went out of print in 1978. There were some earlier but few and rare.

The Australians even printed Barks gags that were never printed in USA until Gladstone/Gemstone: (US/DD "Horse Blinders" gag).

It's entirely possible that madminstrel is thinking of a Disney Studio Program story that's never been published in the US.
