Topic: A gimmicky concept

It's a gimmicky concept, but the lead story -- with Glomgold, Rockerduck, Magica, and the Beagle Boys forming a "supervillain" team and (apparently, at least until next issue) actually thwarting Scrooge was done in such a way that I found rollicking and overall very enjoyable.

It sounds like a good story. I just hope Scrooge wins in the end.

Pretty sure that any other outcome is forbidden. ;) (But would be interesting to see how Topolino's contemporary writers and artists would handle such a turn of events!)

It's too bad the story won't be released here in America.

I agree! I was actually thinking that if I were in charge of a revival of the U.S. duck-and-mouse line (we ALL dream of that, right?), I'd get to it ASAP...

Well THIS is certainly cryptic...

I recal the story was made do to Topolinos 80 aniversary...

Is there a way to translate that article in English?

What is, Geo? The reason I made a "test" post was to figure out how the rhyme and reason to the board's time zone setting options. Once I did (sort of...), I realized that I couldn't delete the post, so I hastily filled the post's body in with something on-topic and as substantive as I could manage on the spot. Alas, I didn't have the option of changing the subject line.

And, rest assured, all talk of fantasies of heading a revived U.S. duck-and-mice Disney comics line is purely that -- talk of fantasies. ;)

I at first was also puzzled why you would use such subject to your post. Roger North's comments are puzzling as always, but often predictable.
There was BTW a series of Brazilian stories where many of the villains (from the ducks and mice universes) unit to form a team of villain whereas the good guys also unite (DD,MM,GO,O'Hara?) under their superheroes identities. Not the best Brazilian stories though :)
