The "Blot" also made it onto at least one WW2 military aviation unit emblem, it was the US Navy Composite Squadron-8, he walking carrying a Torpedo and has a white navy cap on .

Except for the original by Gottredson and in my case excluding other than American comics I want to get some of the 17 Paul Murry drawn stories :
I thought I already had all longer Phantom Blot stories first edition drawn by Paul Murry, but there is a rather new one in Mickey Mouse 210 : Mickey Mouse Whale of a Mystery.
There seems to be an enormous amount of non-US Phantom Blot stories as deyanmegara's link showed and of these at least the very early Italian non-Murry should be worth while reading (and at least one has been published in english).
