I'm doing some research for Last Sled to Dawson, and Rosa contends that The Kitchy-Kaw Diamond was the inspiration for a plot point in his own story. I don't have access to the comic myself, so I'm hoping for your help.
I really only have one question: is there a flashback portion to this story, and if so, can you show me a panel with the outfit Scrooge is wearing in said flashback?

There is not, nor does Scrooge even allude to his past. In fact, I'm not at all sure what in this rather mediocre story would've provided Rosa with inspiration.

Something about a rifle lodged in the glacier. It could be a different story, I don't know how reliable my information is.

It's "The Secret of the Glacier" (Fallberg/Strobl, DD 51, reprinted 166) that has the sled frozen into the ice, which Rosa said stuck with him as an image, and which may be the only significant detail he cadged from a non-Barksian story.
