Topic: Where was the Strangest Place you found a Disney Comic?

In North America, it's isn't always the easiest to find Disney Comics. Sure they are in the comic book store, but they aren't exactly front row for everyone to see. From my limited experience in comic book stores, you have to look a little bit to find them, if at all.
However everyone once in a while, you can find them in the randomest places. I was wondering where that was for you guys.
For myself, it was at an anime convention. Now these conventions are becoming more and more of a place of a convention of anything that is popular, and because of the movies in recent years, it is possible to find American comic books/ merchandise there. However I never expected to find Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck books. They were mixed in with some manga, and were the size of a pocketbook, which never seen before, and had in them mostly if not all European stories in them. They were also at a really good price too, I believe 2 for 5 dollars which is about 3 times less than the cover price.

I found some Egyptian Disney comic books in a book store in Egypt. I also found some Egyptian Disney comic books in a book store in The Netherlands. I found some Dutch Disney Comic books in a book store in Denmark. I was taking my trash down to the trash bins at my apartment complex in Los Angeles, California, USA, and found some Danish Anders And (Donald Duck) comic books, as well as some Danish Disney illustrated Children's books.

I found lots of foreign comic books in unlikely places, found some Italian Dsiney comic books in Phuket in a used book store, found som Scandinavian Disney comics on Cyprus, and more...

Wow, I wasn't excepting so many foreign book around in completely different countries than where they belong to, then again I've found German comics at a thrift store so I shouldn't be talking.

I guess it's as that saying goes, "one man's garbage is another man's treasure" haha. I certainly wouldn't mind if I found Danish Donald Duck comics for free (though they might be hard to actually reach them in there, forget the actual condition that they would be in.)

The condition I found them was excellent (mint), and they were sitting in a pile on top. It was the same as if I had found them in a shop with a sign: "FREE-take them!"

Well, European Duck fans probably wouldn't consider this to be "strange," per se, but... During a trip to Hungary and Austria a couple of years back, I found racks and shelves of Disney comics in a shop in the Vienna Metro and in several Landzeit rest stops on one of the Austrian Autobahns. I'm so used to NOT seeing American Disney comics in such venues that these sightings came as a (pleasant) surprise.

That is typical of the main European train station/underground station shopping mall areas. They generally have a giant book store/newsstand shop with tonnes of comic books, and many have a separate comic book shop (which can be one of the largest comic book shops in that city).

Awesome! It just goes to show that sometimes life just comes up and hugs you haha.

I actually find it odd for comics to be at those rest stops placesas well. I would be pretty excited to see one there myself.

I don't know what was more unexpected -- seeing those racks of comics at the Landzeit, or seeing the containers of "bag wine" that the Landzeit sold as part of their food service!

Haha, bagged wine? I'm not a wine drinker myself, but that would be awesome to see anyway

This isn't all that strange but a comic book store that I went to last week had some old Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge and Walt Disney Comics and Stories comics hanging on the top walls. I guess you would have to bother someone if you actually wanted to buy them. Strangely enough, some of them weren't that expensive to warrant highlighting (?) them.
