Topic: HELP NEEDED : Searching for a specific comic!

Hello!

I am looking for a specific comic (or animated short) that I saw and was fascinated with as a kid.

My memory may be a bit fuzzy about the details, so please bear with me on this...

It is either Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse that goes back in time to (I think) Venice where a character/narrator starts to teach them everything about printing, typography and the like. They explain all the different terms i.e. Serifs, Sans-Serif, baseline, Grotesk and so on. It is very educational. I can't remember the plot but I really loved the printshop-related information that I got out of it. I now work at a commercial agency and would love to have it.

Hopefully someone here will be able to help me out.

Thank you!

Welcome to the Disney Comic Forum :)
I don't know any story (or cartoon) like this. A search on INDUCKS showed me this one: http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+1555-A Plot: Mickey and Goofy use the time machine to go back to Florence in 1505 to learn more about Leonardo da Vinci and his famous painting "Mona Lisa". It was published in sweden in Björnligan 1987-01 as "Mona Lisas hemlighet".
Do you remember when or in which publication you read it?

Thanks for your reply (and the welcome)! Unfortunately that is not the cartoon I'm looking for. That is a great resource page though, I will try to locate the one I'm looking for. Didn't find anything now with a few quick searches but I'll try some more later on.
I must have been around 1986-1994 or something. Maybe a quite large span there but probably more likely to be around the latter. Publication, I have no idea. The ones I usually read were the pocket books and the standard magazine, Donald Duck. This was a pretty long comic as I remember it so it would probably have been in the pocket books. One problem though is I am not sure if my memory is serving me correctly, it might also have been an animated cartoon.
It might even not have been Disney at all... But I consumed vast amounts of Disney back then so my memory might trick me into thinking that it was indeed Disney.
Anyway, hopefully I will have some luck in my search even though I have very little to work with.
Thanks again!

Perhaps it was one episode of Mickey travers les siècles series?
