Topic: Indiana Goof's overall intelligence level

It's kind of interesting to ponder the possibility of Indiana Goof's overall intelligence level.
Krantz once told him, "You're not as dimwitted as your cousin", meaning Goofy of course. And in a Christmas cartoon IG himself had remarked, "That Goofy is incredible! At times he's like a little boy!"
But I have the feeling that if he is indeed smarter than Goofy, it apparently can't be by too much. He can even sound downright professional when he wants to, but would you say he's dimwitted in his own way, or is he maybe as intelligent as, say, Mickey Mouse but is just so caught up in his own personal eccentricities that it drags him down?

He is certainly not as dimwitted. I consider him a cross between Indiana Jones and Goofy. Which means that he can be deadly serious and even genial in places, but there's still that "Goofy family" spirit lurking in somewhere. Just not very prominent most of the time but getting more visible when he climbs houses, uses windows for entering or sleeps in a tent inside the room.

Just to clarify: Goofy isn't dimwitted. He's eccentric. Other characters might perceive him to be dimwitted, though.

Very true. I consider Goofy merely naive, and when someone is naive others tend to accuse them of stupidity. From what I can tell from over a lifetime of observing him, Goofy can make errors of fact, but very seldom of values.
And yes, IG can be very genial, although I hadn't really thought about that detail before; he does need to work on his social skills a bit at times (you can tell he's spent, er, a bit TOO much time out in the jungle at certain moments, lol).

I consider him sexy. But I agree with others.

Well, he has his fair share of romantic relationship, a good example is Indiana Goofy in pursuit of the green star ("Indiana Pipps all'inseguimento della stella verde" http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+2069-1)

I'm familiar with that one... I guess I'm just having a hard time connecting why he could be considered "sexy", but that's just me. ;)

No offense meant to the above poster who made the comment at all, I'm just asking out of curiosity so I can get an idea of how they meant it, unless they simply meant, "emotionally romantic personality". I certainly couldn't see it in a physical manner. ;)

True. Goofy's eccentric, and lives in his own world, but clearly not stupid. His reaction to everyday situations in which he finds himself is atypical and what sets him apart from others. He's sort of like Mr. Bean, but sans the underlying malice.
