Long time Disney comics reader and collector here. My collection consists of about 3,500 books encompassing mostly Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck titles. My dad collected them as a kid and taught me all about the wonderful Don Rosa and Carl Barks.
Found this forum looking for information on whether Marvel would begin publishing Disney books again. My father keeps asking me to "use the Internets" to find out if his beloved characters will ever be coming back to print. Judging by some of the threads here, it looks like that isn't going to be happening anytime soon.
I suppose Marvel/ Disney won't make the effort to re-release these books unless they can see the potential for a product. Given the state of the print comics industry in general, that might be a hard sell.
Was never too impressed with many of the more recent Disney titles, which seemed geared towards a very young audience.
Honestly, I think it's going to take an individual of vision at Marvel/ Disney who understands a) the unique flavor of Disney comics and what they brought to the reader b) how to bring that flavor to new generations (without dumbing them down.)
At any rate, they need to hear it from the fans. If anyone ever decides to get a petition together for the purpose of sending a call to the folks at Marvel/ Disney...count me in.
Glad I found this forum!

Yes Welcome. I agree with you that there should be a petition. I would definitely sign it if there was one.
