In the American version of D 8824, Donald refers to Bruce McDuck as his "fifth cousin". Is this the relation in the original plot?

I have that story in Donald Duck Adventures (Gladstone Series) #41 and I don't know if that's a typo or not. If he is the same generation as Scrooge though then he is technically Donald's second cousin.
