Hi, boys!
I'm a storician Disney comics and I wrote a lot of books/article.
Now, you can see two very rare Italian (apocrifes?) comics, that aren't in Inducks database.
The first is the serie ''Albi del trio dell'astuzia'', written and drawn by Gaetano Vitelli and edited by E.R.O.L.A. in 1948. Gaetano Vitelli was a famous Disney author in the Nerbini age.
There are 18 comics in this serie, but I missed the last 4 numbers. In these comics there are also the italian character 'Furbolino'' and Pinocchio ( non Disney): they are protagonists with this particoular Mickey Mouse

In the next post if you are interested I post the next serie.

Hi, Barone! I saw you on Inducks before and welcome to Disney Comics forum. It's interesting to hear that there was another italian Mickey Mouse comic series with some characters that are non-Disney. I wonder why they used a non-Disney version of Pinocchio instead of the real Disney version? Was this comic created before or after the Disney version of Pinocchio? I think it's weird to see a Disney character appearing along with a non-Disney version of a fairy tale/novel character.

This strange Mickey Mouse is fisically different from the classic character. I think is for sell reason that could create curiosity.
The classic Pinocchio, in my opinion, was more known and useful. The serie are very very rare .

The second serie is ''In alto fanciulli'' with a Mickey Mouse apocrife (1937) by Federico Galli ( I wrote an article about him and his work in ''Fumetto'' n.81). This serie missed in inducks.

Did you meant that this Mickey Mouse's character is different compared to the "real" Mickey Mouse's character? Those two series seems like to use so many different Mickeys in it. I agree that they're weird and the plots seems to be not so Disney-ish. So, you think that the classic/original Pinocchio is more well known in your country because the original novel was italian, right? I think most people in non-Italian speaking countries seems to know more about the Disney version than the original version.

Yes! But this Pinocchio don't say lies.
The importance of Disney apocrife is the malleability of characters and the storic background.

Did you meant that this Pinocchio from this comic series never said any lies? I wonder if some other Disney characters appeared in those two series or just only Mickey and other Mickeys?

Yes, Pinocchio doesn't say lies.
Only Mickey, because he is the most important and famous Disney character.

OK! So, Mickey is the only Disney character who appeared in those two comic books.
I wonder if you're still visiting Inducks or not? If yes, then why do you stop sending your own reports? I think it would be great to see you sending new reports again.

Well, I have seen you indexing some issues on Inducks but maybe you stopped sending reports because no one would help you? The problem is that the italian maintainers are not solving italian reports anymore but you can still send reports that are not italian related. No, I'm not an official maintainer yet but I'm just a normal member on Inducks.
