Sorry if there is a topic about this already, I couldn't find one. As most of Rosa fans are aware of, the guy is quite good at slipping stuff into his work that kids wouldn't be aware of or understand. Courtesy of tvtropes, you will find lists with the majority of his innuendos here http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Radar/DonRosa and here http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Radar/TheLifeAndTimesOfScroogeMcDuck.
What are people's thoughts on these innuendos? Are there some particular favorites of yours or are there some you think Rosa went too far with?
Personally, and while it might not be an innuendo in itself, the panel with a Beagle Boy disguised as Dewey(?) looking funny while asking Donald for a hug is something I remember since I was a kid and never stopped laughing at. It wasn't until recently I realized Donald was asking if someone drugged his nephews.

However, I'm pretty sure that even as a kid, I noticed how Quackfaster is looking at the Beagle Boy's ding dong which causes her to scream and faint.

Also, I don't think Rosa went too far with any myself. You have "Prisoner of White Agony Creek" where out of all things, sex is implied, but it's still done subtly enough that you could still wonder if it really happened. I know some people think he might have went too far some places however, and that's fine, I'm just curios to hear different people's opinions. :) Though most importantly have some laughs about them. :D

I don't think the sex in "White Agony Creek" is particularly ambiguous, but for a counterpoint, I direct your attention to the lady in my blog comments with whom I had the silliest argument ever. :P

Did I post this in the wrong place or do people simply not find this as hilarous as I do? Then again, I'm guessing a lot of the innuendos have already been discussed elsewhere.

Lol, fair enough that Rosa himself states it's up to the individual to decide for themselves, but does she have to be so aggressive about it? The argument that Judge Roy Bean could have stopped his companions from going down there was because he saw Scrooge and Goldie stopped fighting and shook hands however made my day. How would he even have seen them from where he stood, and if he did, his companions would have done so as well, wouldn't they?
I'm pretty sure they had sex in Rosa's mind too, but he won't state it outright in words not to get on censors or parents bad side for confirming it, and also to please those fans he likely figured wouldnt like it. Not when, like he said "it's a Disney comic". I think I read somewhere that he apparently wanted to show more of what happened in the cabin, but probably figured he shouldn't push his luck. Maybe to show them sleeping next to each other? That would have been cute and too bad he couldn't have shown that. xD
On an unrelated note, I was really surprised when I learned that he wrote "Prisoner of White Agony Creek" AFTER "Hearts of the Yukon". O.o

If I'm not mistaken, Rosa's commented somewhere (maybe on the old Disney comics listserv?) that he originally wanted to show the snow melting off the cabin's roof in those panels, but that that was considered to be going a bit too far.

I knew about that comment, I could have sworn I read another one saying what I stated. I can't for the life of me remember where I read that now though.
Additionally, reading "Back to the Klondike", Don Rosa also had this to say about Scrooge: "... a bar-broom brawler straight out of a John Ford western movie. Perhaps even a great lover!"
This guy I swear...

From a Norwegian newspaper, Dagbladet, where Don Rosa is answering questions:
About Scrooge and Goldie O'Gilt
Have you ever considered a romantic relationship between Scrooge and Goldie, and does anyone know what was in the letter Goldie sent to Scrooge that he left in the snow? (Hearts of the Yukon).
Don Rosa:
A romantic relationship between $crooge and Goldie? Didn't you read my last story from about 2 years back, "The Prisoner of White Agony Creek". What did you think was going on in that cabin at the end of the story? Did you notice that somehow all the snow melted off the roof?!

It makes sense considering that the drinks in a wide variety of Donald comics were clearly referring to more than just standard lemonade or soda pop.
I've always appreciated comics and cartoons that allude to more major subjects, without coming right out and saying it. Nothing raunchy, but a bit cheeky.

Prisoner of White Agony Creek is probably my favorite chapter of LaToSMD. Rosa gives Goldie and Scrooge such sexual tension, building upon Barks. I'm just glad we got to see a story exploring/expanding their romance more.
