I subscribed to the "Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics", published by Marvel.
After receiving an issue of "Marvel Adventures Spider-Man", i contacted Marvel and received the following information:
Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics has been discontinue. All subscibers were transferred into "Marvel Adventures Spider-Man". Please just let us know if you would like a refund of your original order. Sorry for any inconvenience.
So it seems, the short re-run of disney comics at Marvel has come to an end so far.

The Disney/Pixar magazine-size comics apparently were intended for grocery stores and newsstands. Given the state of magazine publishing in general I'm not surprised they failed. I'd expect Marvel to package the Disney/Pixar stories as trade paperbacks next.

Quote from user: thogruI subscribed to the "Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics", published by Marvel.
What was the last number you received? According to this web page #8 is scheduled for sale Dec 28th.
Also, could you take a look at this thread and tell me what cover variants you received as a subscriber?

Unfortunately, i haven´t received any issue of "Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics".
I ordered the subscription in november and received the Spider-Man issue a few days ago.
So i think issue # 8 of "Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics" won´t be published.
The first 7 issues i bought at a german comic shop.

Kind of a dick move to just change the subscription to a completely unrelated comic without consulting subscribers first.

What i don´t understand is the policy of Marvel, not to tell the truth to the customers.
At the website, there can still be found the advertising for the subscription of "Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics".
Oh man, i hope we will soon hear good news about the return of regular published disney titles in the u.s., because i collected all the us-disneys titles since 1985 and want to go on.

Oh oh, that doesn't sound good for the future of Disney comics :(
I'm not really surprised this failed, because I couldn't find ANY information on these on the web, at first I couldn't even be sure if they were really released. Major FAIL from Marvel to me, because they didn't advertise it at all.
And shipping a Spiderman comic instead, what the heck??! I'm still unsure it was a good idea for Disney to buy Marvel...It seems like they don't care for their own properties now, let's just make another hundred Spiderman comics because "they sell well" instead of real Disney comics...

It might be an isolated screw up. If there are any more, it really will look like trouble.

I wonder if this means that Marvel is not going to publish the classic Disney Comics. I hope not.

This is the answer of Marvel to the question, about the future of the series:
"Issue #6 of Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics was the last issue availbale through a subscription. Issue #8 & #9 will be published and available in comic book stores."

Now it seems to be officially, that the series will end with # 9 CARS ROUTE 66 DASH.
Today i received a mail from someone at Marvel concerning my question to the future of "Disney/Pixar Giant Size Comics".
The answer was:
"To my knowledge this [# 9] will be the last issue with that branding."
So let´s hope that the four issue mini-series of Toy Story, coming out in march will mark the start of a long period of disney comics at Marvel.
