Ok Timo, please give me some clue on how to help you to index this comics, but some of them are from Argentina and some other from Mexico.

Hi,

It would be immensly useful to get a list of ORIGINAL (i.e. Argentinian-made) stories, most of them (all?) drawn by Luis Destuet. This is one of the biggest hole in Inducks.

If you can send that list here on this forum I would add it to Inducks.

I'm thinking of a simple list with:

- publication, issue, date in which the story is published
- title
- number of pages
- appearing characters

However that would only be possible if you can recognize Argentinian made stories from the other (e.g. American) stories.

To my knowledge there are no Mexican-produced Disney comics. But maybe they reprinted Argentinian-made stories, in which case it's interesting to list them.
At least some of the covers above are clearly by Destuet.

Ok, please let me check what can I do. I'm not shue if I can recognize differents stories, but maybe I can put some examples, and then you can help me.

I wonder why so many of the covers appear to be redrawn versions of American originals ?

Dutch Sanoma Uitgevers does that as well. It is easier than quickly coming up large volumes of new cover ideas. with I guess it is a way to bring more income in to their staff. Michel Nadorp does the redrawing for Sanoma. The Argentinian redrawn covers include more than just re-drawings of US covers. They also include re-drawn Danish covers. They probably redraw any covers they like, regardless of country of origin.

Aha thanks for the information, when I think about it I remember I myself as a youngster "redrew" a nice Scrooge drawing by Barks (the one when he aims to shoot or shoots at the ghost) from Old Castle`s Secret on my white T-Shirt. But I tried of course to draw it as close to the original as possible and felt it looked rather Barksian. That was though my last Barks imitating effort, being a much more talented reader than artist :-)
