It seems the comics are using the pantomine Snoopy from television as opposed to the thought-bubble version from the comic strips. Not sure how well that translates to a comic book form.

I'm not sure Boom has any editors that were born before Schulz died. :D
It mostly looks like this is just adapted Schulz material with an artist from Creative Associates...if that's the case, maybe C.A. became aware of Kaboom's penchant for "zoom and flip" technology and assigned their own creative team for the project. It would make sense then why Kaboom never announced the creative team their Editor in Chief, Matt Gagnon, hyped in the initial press release.
In any case, I can't imagine a $3.99 Peanuts book even touching the numbers of their lowest selling Disney title.
