Now, I wasn't born when Fresh-Up Freddie was made. But I'll tell you, with the ethers of YouTube I'll tell you he's one of the best ads for 7-UP...next to Cool Spot. (I lost ALL respect to Orlando Jones...Don't Ask)!
But I have a few ads for Fresh-Up Freddie...and now you know why I use the Lee Hazelwood quote!...

Thanks for these. When I first got on the internet, in 1998, I looked up Fresh-Up Freddie, whom I remembered from the ads you've posted and others like them. But there was literally nothing about the character online. Seriously. There was some guy using the name as a usenet alias, and that was all. Whereas these days, you can find all the information you could possibly want with great ease. Pretty amazing indicator of how things change, really.

Why you think I use the quote of Lee Hazelwood?

So is the quote really "thank Gos," or is that some obscure joke I'm not getting? The only google hits for the phrase as-written refer to your very signature.

It was a misspelling...
The original is "Thank God for Kids that Love Obscure Things"...I never had the chance to change it.
