Here's an email I got from Some Dude:
I'm not a ducks fan, but I bumped into your blog while trying to find a specific comic. I am a student in college, and my professor has been dying to find this one specific donald duck comic. If you don't mind, and you know which one it is off the top of your head, and can let me know - that would be Amazing! It's one where Donald gets out of work, then goes to the McDuck bank, then to the McDuck supermarket, then to the McDuck real-estate agent, and then after paying his bills with the check he just got, the little ducks ask him to buy them some ice cream. He says he doesn't have the money, and then goes to ask Scrooge for an advance on his salary to pay for the ice cream. Scrooge then says something like "I don't have any trouble keeping my money, why can't you hold on to yours?"
I feel like this is something I *ought* to know, but it's not coming to me. Then again, it sounds kind of generic; it could well be some random European story that I haven't read.

It sounds like some generic European story, but oddly enough I can't remember having read the story (and I have read a lot of European stories). From which country are Some Dude and his professor? Becuase if they're American, that narrows the search down a lot. I need more details, this could be nearly any story right now!

He's named "Konrad" is that sheds any light on anything, but he has a generic gmail account, so it's hard to say.

Konrad. Can't tell where the name is from. The site "Behind the Name" says it's used in Germany, Scandinavia, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia and Slovenia. In other words: this could be ANY H-, W-, I-, B-, S- or D-coded story. Can you mail him back? Ask him if the professor knows anything about the comic: age, country. As far as I can say now, we're nowhere.

Yeah, I wrote him back, but this may not be the number-one priority for him, given the resulting silence thusfar.

I can imagine. :) But I think it's a nice thing to do, finding out what story it is. But this is like solving a murder and only knowing the name of the victim.
